Suggest Treatment For Severe Muscle Cramps

Hello,my name is Jobt.Thursday morning I had a procedure done to drain severe fluid buildup.Friday night it began draining again after no obvious reason. It is still leaking profusely and getting painful in the general area not to mention severe muscle cramps. It was my first time having this done and they drained 17.5 liters.I am an alcoholic,is there any suggestion as to what to do? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

The cause of fluid leakage should be identified and treated.Any infection should be treated immediately since it can delay recovery.Pain killers or muscle relaxants like chlorzoxazone can be taken to reduce pain and cramps.Any fever can indicate infection for which antibiotics should be started immediately.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
