Cramps in the legs is due to excess accumulation of lactic acid. You need to take plenty of fluids with electrolytes to replinish its loss and prevent lactic acid accumulation. Also since calcium is one of the key mineral required for the functioning of bones and muscles, it is better to take calcium tablets to keep your muscles function optimally.
