Suggest Treatment For Severe Medial Knee Pain

I bought some new walking shoes 4 weeks ago which are very comfortable, however after walking my usual 5 miles in them I have had bad medial knee pain ever since and cannot walk any distance comfortably, even in well worn in shoes. I would have expected some improvement in the 3 weeks since it started but it s still the same, any ideas please? my doctor just laughed when I said I had sore knees!

Hello
I share your concern
Medial side of knee can be caused by ligament injury, osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis
I would like further information to help you better
Your age weight and daily physical activity
Since how long you have this problem?

Since your new shoes are comfortable still it can cause you muscle spasm may be due to bad posture and gait

Meanwood you can take Diclofenac or ibuprofen for pain relief
You can also use knee brace while walking
Application of hot packs may help you
You should also take multivitamin and calcium supplements

Hope this helps you
