Suggest Treatment For Severe Knee Pain And Swelling Behind Left Knee

Hallo Doctor, I am 67 years old. For the last 2-3 months I am having severe pain in my Knee with swelling at rear of left knee. My general Physician has recommended to take 2 /day Cartigen Forte. Is it a safe medicine to take or try more natural medicines? Pl recommend. Thanks and Regards, V Krishnan

Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the Cartigen forte contains Glucosamine used in various orthopedic conditions. There are various side effects associated with the use of Cartigen forte such as:
- Abdomen bloating
- Anemia (low hemoglobin)
- Effect over platelets and increased bleeding
- Fatigue
- Others

However, for further treatment guidelines, one requires thorough history, examination findings and evaluation of radiology findings together.
