Suggest Treatment For Severe Itchy Rashes All Over The Body

My daughter went on a bike tour down hwy 1 in California. I picked her up on Monday and she had different patches of rashes on her body. When she woke up today, it had spread, they are starting to ooze, and they are burning and itching. I took her to the doctor, saw a practioner, and she said she had a staph infection. it is spreading so fast on her body, I think she got into poison oak in Big Sur because she said she had to go to the bathroom in the bushes! W Would a staph infection cover her legs, arms, butt so fast?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello, from what you have described , it appears that she has allergic contact dermatitis, with probably secondary infection..Contact dermatitis can occur rapidly following contact with the allergen,
I would adv a course of oral antibiotics with cap Cephalexin 500 mg four times a day for 7 days, alog with topical steroid-antibiotic combo like momate-F cream to be applied on the lesions twice daily, along with antihistamines like tab Cetrizine 10 mg at bedtime
Review after 5 days
Thanks
Take care
