Suggest Treatment For Severe Heartburn And Stabbing Pain In The Legs And Feet

I had heartburn all day yesterday and took antacids but they did nut help. Had fried shrimp for dinner and two glasses of wine. Heartburn got increasing worse with GERD. Threw up twice during the night and was sick all night. Today stomach is okay but queasy and I have a lot of recurring, stabbing pain in my legs and feet. Cold but no fever. Can t do anything that requires energy.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Severe reflux can definitely cause burning discomfort , nausea and vomiting. It would not normally cause the stabbing discomfort that you are noticing unless the vomiting caused a significant loss of electrolytes.

You may want to consider the use of a combination of pepto bismol and medications such as prevacid, protonix, nexium etc
Dramamine can be added if you still have nausea despite these medications.

I hope this helps
