Suggest Treatment For Heartburn And Vomiting

I have heartburn a lot at the point where my ribcage separates I have a sharp stabbing pain that usually only happens when food gets stuck( which happens everytime I eat no matter how much I chew). Causing me to have to vomit to unblocked the passage. This morning when it happened there was blood ablnd the pain is there continuous with stabbing pains more frequent. Should I just try antacid or be more concerned. My heartburn and stuck food has been on going for over 8 yrs

As it is a chronic problem for the last 8 years, and now it has increased in intensity, I would advise you to take appointment with a gastro-enterologist without any delay who might go for an endoscopic evaluation of your gastro-intestinal tract to diagnose your problem. Till then you might go for a proton pump inhibitor and a prokinetic agent for possible symptomatic relief.
