Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my hair is falling out at an alarming rate. im not stressed, im a little over weight but all in all in in good health. never in my life had I had this problem. what can I do? I take vitamins and drink plenty of water on the daily. so im at a loss for what to do. hairloss don t run in my family line , I did have a full head of hair and about 6-8 months ago it just started to fall out in chunks. I don t know what else I can do.
It is normal for the hair to fall seasonally especially during April and May, and Autumn season. However, as it started about 6-8 months ago, I highly recommend to get a thorough examination by dermatologist, and evaluate the scalp for any pathological changes and treat it adequately.
Furthermore, I highly advise to watch what hair products have you started to use recently. If you suspect of any, please stop using it, and observe the changes in your hair.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
