Suggest Treatment For Severe Dizziness

Hi Dr. Rynne, I have been diagnosed with Benign Postural Vertigo in July 2015. It has been extremely hard with all the dizziness. I started going to a Chiropractor for two weeks now and I am still a little dizzy when I turn my head in a certain position. His treatments have been lowering my head off the examining table then turning my head and cracking my neck. I am still a little dizzy. He keeps making appts. for me to return but I am still dizzy. What should I do, I think it should have been resolved by now. Francie - I am a very young 75 in good health and have exercised most of my adult life, aerobics and gym visits. thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to benign paroxismal vertigo.
I suggest using Meclizine hydrochloride three times a day.
I also suggest to avoid salt in the diet.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
