Hi I have been diagnosed with scoliosis andi found out in middle school that i had it and ever since then i been having severe back pain in my lower back in the middle. I was told by a specialist that i have scoliosis but its in the upper part and its curve alittle, i explained to them it s not hurting in the upper part its in the lower part. I just found out i was born with it but it was never disguised or thought about bac then, and i want surgery so i can get it fix and stop the pain as well, what should i do and i dnt have no insurance wright im in the process of getting one.
If on bending forward curve of scoliosis disappears then its functional if it persist on bending forward then its structural.You need to confirm which type you have. You may need MRI spine to get detail diagnosis.
For symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started. Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help.
