Schi0-affective disorder is psychotic disorder and it has episode tendency. If she remains asymptomatic for many years, then she could be off treatment. This all depends upon her improvement with medication. In case, you have more query, you can ask.

Schizoaffective disorder is a episodic illness and duration of treatment depends upon number of episode. If she have had more than 3 episodes in last for years, in that case, she would take medicine for more than 6 to 7 years. If she remains asymptomatic for more than five years, then psychiatrist could try to stop the drugs. If you have more query, you can ask.
