Suggest Treatment For Ruptured Eardrum

Yes. My husband s eardrum ruptured years ago when he was little. Now, every time he flies, pressure builds up in that ear and it takes a few days for the pressure to subside. He has been congested the past week and has been taking Mucinex Decongestant to clear up his congestion, however, today when he was lying down with our toddler on the couch and got up, he had pain in that ear, as well as pressure just as if he had been descending on a flight (he says it feels as if it is stopped up). The pain is not going away. He has tried a few remedies such as a hot wash cloth to clear up congestion, steam, etc. What do you recommend for him to relieve the pain....

Hello
This may be due to eustachian tube dysfunction..in my opinion you should try some nasal decongestants and continue steam inhalation.
