Suggest Treatment For Rib Pain Under The Breast Due To A Fall

I fell in my bathroom and have extreme pain in the bone under my left breast. don t know if I have cracked rib. have had 0broken rib before but not from falling does this just sound like a broken or bruised rib? it feels like when I had a broken rib before but I had to wear a brace because it was lower ?

1. Is the zone under your breast bruised?
The mos likely cause of bruised ribs is a blow to the chest. This pushes the ribs against the surrounding muscles and the impact may bruise the ribs . The average time to pass is 3-4 weeks. Meantime taking painkillers like paracetamol , naproxene ect

2. Do you have breathing difficulties?
We have 24 ribs that protect our internal organs and help us breathe.
If breathing in causes you pain , it's likely there is a fracture there. It may be complicated with a pneumothorax too

3. In any case, a visit to your doctor and a chest X-Ray would be perfect

4. The doctor will take care of your hurt breast too, if there is any hemorrhage inside
