General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You need to take a long course of oral antifungal tablets in addition to local ointments, at least for a period of 6 months. In addition to the medication please get yourself evaluated for any immune deficiency condition and also for diabetes. Please keep your skin dry in addition to maintaining hygiene. Avoid wearing undergarments at night and dry your skin every time you take bath or the area gets wet under fan or using a hair dryer.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
