Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Cough And Breathing Difficulty
Hi I am 52 year old male and have a history of smoking for more than 20 years. Since last 3-4 months I am suffering with half breathing specially worst in humidity. My doctor who is TB chest specialist prescribed me inhaler (Budesonide) and theophyllin & calcium.I commonly suffer worst cough in morning but for the last 2-3 days I feel bad pain in my left arm pit and left chest area while cough. should I go for chest X ray & CT scan for any probability of small cell as I am chain smoker while my doctor donnt think so.
You have history of smoking from long time and coughing with breathing difficulties so better to do a chest x ray for further diagnosis..
Any lung condition like tubeculosis or pneumonia or any consolidation can detected in x ray...
Consult a pulmonologist for further diagnosis... Auscaltation of breathing sound also helpful for diagnosis... Peak flow meter use to mesure respiratory efficiency.. Detail history and physical examination give exact idea...
I hope my guidance helpful to you... Take care. Thank you.
