Suggest Treatment For Rapid Rise In Heart Rate

42, pregnant, nearly every morning I have a rapid rise in heart rate, followed by severe drop in BP...today was 88/41. I drink fluids as soon as I get up, but no change. Anything else I can do? Sometimes accompanied by difficulty breathing and MUCH exhaustion the rest of the day.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms you are having should not be ignored as you are pregnant this can affect the fetus. I would suggest you see your doctor regarding the same.

The doctor will examine you and the fetus and if needed will prescribe you some medications to bring things under control. Make sure you drink appropriate amount of fluids daily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
