Suggest Treatment For Rapid Heart Rate

18 year old heart rate 136 felt pounding as put my hand on his chest this was after eating. He let out a slight cry and describes a slight pain prior to the racing heart beat. He is Aspergers so it s hard for him to express exactely what he is feelngb..should we ask for an ECG?

I went through your details. If the heart rate is frequently above 140 during rest period, that is tachycardia and you should get help of a physician in determining the problem. Usually infrequent high heart rates are due to anxiety or stress. He is already Asperger and anxiety can be explained. Still, I suggest you to consult a physician.
