Suggest Treatment For Random Swelling Of Body In Kids

My daughter has completed 4 yrs. She has swelling over her body. This could be once in a week or two, twice in a month as well. Her weight is 16 Kg. For 4 yrs child I think it is very less. She does not eat anything. Pls suggest what could be done for her.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Weight for this age is normal and appropriate. No need to worry about the weight at present. Frequent swelling in the body may be due to allergies. You can find the cause for the allergy and avoid it. You can give medicines to remove worms from the gut. Deworming drugs can be given once in 6 months so that she can be free from worm infestation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rajmohan, Pediatrician
