Hello,

Welcome to healthcare magic.

I understand from your query that your wife is having scaly patches suggestive of psoriasis on her legs.

She could apply a cream containing Betamethasone dipropionate twice a day on the patches for 2 weeks. Once the patches subside, she could apply a moisturizer in the morning and a cream containing Calcipotriol at bedtime to prevent them from recurring.

Please do consult a dermatologist as psoriasis is a chronic problem and needs regular follow up.

Pain while walking could suggest psoriatic joint involvement.

Betamethasone is a steroid and should not be used for more than 2 weeks without a doctor's supervision.

Hope this helps you.

Take care.
