Suggest Treatment For Presence Of Skin Infection On Chest

My husband was prescribed Keflex on Sunday for an infection on his chest. Looks like staph to me. The pa thought it was just an infected hair follicle. It has gotten worse he went to the doctor this morning and a different pa gave him Bactrim. She said she didn t think it was MRSA but that it should of have gotten better by now. Should he take both antibiotics?

Hello,

I don't think you should get both of the antibiotics. I think taking keflex is better. Also, he can use a corticosteroid + antibiotic ointment to put over it. You should wait some days for it to get better.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
