Suggest Treatment For Pre Auricular Cyst

Hi my 4 year old daughter has a pre auricular cist. And this is the first time it let out a little milky fluid her doc put her on amoxicillin and clavilanate potassium now it s leaking but not red and a little lump my question is once the infection is gone is there still gonna be a slight lump left behind or should it go away and this is the second antibiotic we ve tried in two weeks cause the first one was done and it was still draining. And the doc says we should operate. What do you think?
