Suggest Treatment For Pneumonia

Hi, I finished my 7-day course of Augmentin two days ago for pneumonia. While taking it, I felt I was getting better. However, since finishing it, I feel like I am becoming more and more tired again, like I was before. The only difference now is that at least I have stopped coughing up phlegm. What should I do?

Hello!
I had gone through query and understand your concern.

It is normal that after a pneumonia and a course of antibiotic your body need some time for complete recovery and during this time you may feel tired and weakness.
If you don't have cough with yellow sputum, fever, difficulty breathing this means that the antibiotic was effective to treat your pneumonia.
You don't need to worry, you will feel better day after day.

You may need rest, eat healthy food mostly green vegetables, drink plenty of fluids. You also may take some vitamins and supplements to help your body recover fast.
It would be good if after you finished the antibiotic course you had consult your treating physician so he can perform a physical examination of your lungs to confirm that you are healed.

Hope my answer has helped.
Take care.
