General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
In my knowledge their is no alternative to pilonidal sinus other than surgery,
Its minor surgery incision and drainage is done if abscess or pus is formed,or sinus tract is removed, and wound is kept open and regular dressing is done, for now you should keep the area dry and clean,
Hope this information helps.
