Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough And Chest Pain

coughing constantly. dry cough. no mucous. coughing roughly 300 times a day. ribs are hurting because of it. cough syrup not helping. could be whooping cough. not sure. nurse practitioner prescribed benzonatate 100mg at a clinic. not helping. tired of coughing. need advise

Hello
Looking at your history this could be due to lung or heart disease
in my opinion you should consult a pulmonologist for pulmonary function test X ray chest and blood tests like hemoglobin CBC ESR AEC ( absolute eosinophil count)

You may require a course of antibiotics under supervision of your doctor

meanwhile take steam inhalation
deep breathing exercises
