Suggest Treatment For Painful Heavy Periods With Blood Clots

I am 40 years old. I ve missed my last two periods, I finally started yesterday. it has been very painful all day today. ive been soaking tgru a tampon and a back u pad very quickly and passing many clots. I just passed a white spongyclot . the last couple months I ve had quite a bit of white discharge, it does not have a fishy odor. the periods preceding this one have been similarly painful and clotty but otherwise normal. ive also been having colostrum like nipple discahrge for atleast a year, last year for about 6months the discharge was bloody. I just had a mammogram and a pap smear two months ago. both had good result. the pap showed a slightly high ph or something that they said was fine. should i save this clot and ask for more tests or could it just be my age or something?

Hello,

It is good to know that you have normal reports for pap test and mammogram. Presently you are experiencing heavy bleeding associated with pain and blood clots. You are suggested to stop the use of tampons, spermicides, douches, or other vaginal products. You also had thick, white, clumpy discharge per vaginally and it is indicative of yeast infection. You can apply Monistat 1 (Tioconazole) Ointment per vaginally, it will reduce vaginal discharge, burning or itching.

Heavy painful periods with clots are indicative of cysts, polyp, endometriosis or cancer. Get clinically examined by a gynecologist, get USG (Uterus) done to detect the pathology. You will be accordingly given conservative treatment and surgery. Get treated at the earliest. In the meantime, take well balanced home made nutritious food. If obese, do regular walking and exercises. You should maintain healthy weight. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
