Suggest Treatment For Painful Abdominal Cramps And Fibroids

I have had painful cramps in n my lower bowel and a hard time going #2. This has been off and on for about 3 weeks now. I went and got an ultrasound with my obgyn and she said I have fibroids that are dissolving that are causing the cramping. I am and active healthy 58 year old woman- and it s been so bad I am not sleeping well, taking Motrin now daily and am lethargic. No fever, no diaharea...no vomiting. This isn t right YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to fibroids.

For further assessment you may require ultrasound abdomen and pelvis after gynecologist consultation.

For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.

You may require surgical removal of fibroids after consultation.

You may require complete hemogram after consultation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
