Suggest Treatment For Pain In Collar Bone

Hi, I have been having a severe aching pain across my collar bones for around 6 months. The pain comes and goes but when it is there it is so intense. I go swimming 3 times a week and live on a healthy diet. There is no swelling around the collar bones....can you help please?

Hello,

Clavicular pain could due to many things starting from a bad sleeping posture to shoulder injuries or even due to syndromes like
thoracic outlet syndromes:

Which happens due to compression of nerves and vessel between your neck and armpit and will have several other symptoms like pain over shoulder, neck, arm, discoloration of the arm, etc which kindly look for.

Since the pain has been there for 3 months we need to rule out these possibilities which need evaluation in the form of x-ray, NCS, etc. So get to an orthopedic. Till THAT YOU CAN DO:

1) Immobilize the shoulder joint
2) Take pain killers like ibuprofen and Omeprazole
3) Also, take calcium and vitamin d supplement
4) Can apply a sling over through your neck and arm if the pain gets very nasty
5) Get an orthopedic consultation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
