Suggest Treatment For Pain In Breasts

I am a 35 year old lady. I sometimes have pain in my breasts. I examine my breasts for lumps but I dont feel any. From two days I can see that the pores around the nipple on my right breast are swollen but there is no pain but I feel tenderness in the nipples when I press them. Is this a sign of cancer. I am very much worried. please explain.

Hi,
No, this is not a sign of cancer. Pain can arise from several causes like, improper support, hormone fluctuations of the menstrual cycle, use of hormones, fibradenosis, infections and so on. You should be concerned if there is a painless lump in the breast with or without associated nipple discharge and enlarged axillary lymph glands. Please consult a specialist for a proper evaluation and get a mammogram if needed. Proper firm support, analgesics, diuretics, supplements of vitamin B1, Bromocryptine can be useful. Hope this helps.
