Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling In Labia Majora

My labia minora are red, swollen and painful. I took a look with a mirror and there are sores on the insides of the labia and a white mucus on the vaginal opening (though no noticeable discharge). I am 28, married and six months ago had laparoscopic ovarian drilling done to try to treat PCOS.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi there,
I have understood your concern.

From your history and description, it appears to be a kind of genital tract infection.
I usually suggest a course of mixed antibiotics to both the partners.
Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for combination kit for both of you, the kit contains antibiotics and antifungal agents. Application of antibacterial and antifungal ointment locally will be of help.

Please maintain hygiene. Use of Lactic acid vaginal wash at bath time is advisable.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
