Suggest Treatment For Pain And Cracking At The But Crack In Pregnancy

I am 27 weeks pregnant. I have been having a pain right at the top of my butt crack. Then i noticed blood in my underwear, so i freaked out. I realized my butt crack from the top of the anus to the small of my back is bright red and cracking. When i sit down, it feels like it s stretching. It s very uncomfortable. I just want to know what it s from and how to get rid of it. I shower daily, and have been using baby wipes after a bowel movement to keep it clean. I also put desitin on it, and it still hasn t gone away. Help me.

Unfortunately the skin in that area may have split because of your growing belly stretching all the skin of your pelvis, or you may have a yeast infection of the skin in between your buttocks, which can happen from heat and moisture and your skin rubbing together. Try using a cream used to treat vaginal yeast infections, like Monistat, on the whole red area twice a day, and show it to your doctor at your next appointment. The baby wipes are a great idea to clean yourself. Medicated powder can also help chafing between your buttocks so powder yourself after a shower. I hope this was helpful, and feel better soon!
