HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Headaches are a possible side effect of carbimazole.

It is not associated with weight gain though persons can react differently to medication.
Since you are currently treating the overactive thyroid, this would play a role in your difficulty.

Weight loss can be difficult for some persons.

Diet changes, physical activity and possibly weight loss medication would be needed.
The main diets are low fat/low calorie and low carb diet. The use of meal replacements for 1 or 2 of your daily meals would also help as well.

At least 150 to 200 mins of activity a week with a combination of aerobic and strength training.

I hope this helps
