General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would not advice you to give him warm water to drink as this might make the nausea worse and provoke him to vomit. He will need to drink frequent small amount of fluids (water, juice, soups, etc) so he will be able to hold the food and not through it.
Meanwhile it would be best if he can get some oral rehydration solutions in the pharmacy and regularly drink them to substitute both the water and the salts he is loosing.

Normally the symptoms might be daily for a week and might so it might take a week for him to be better. If no improvement in a week or any worsening he will need to see the doctor.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
