Suggest Treatment For Nausea, Indigestion And Violent Hiccups After Abdominal Hysterectomy
After an abdominal hysterectomy last Friday, my wife is experiencing severe nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. The vomiting and diarrhea have subsided but today she has had strong indigestion and hiccups of a violent nature. Any suggestions for remedies?

Hello,
It is due to postoperative bowel ileus.
Consult a general surgeon and get evaluated.
You have to get an ultrasound scan for further assessment.
As of now, antacids like omeprazole or pantoprazole can be taken.
