Suggest Treatment For Nasal Congestion

Hi, I've begun having a stuffy nose about a month ago. No cold symptoms just the a plugged nose. Used afrin last night for the first time and it worked great. I've read about afrin and don't want to continue using it, so I Spoke to my pharmacist today about my nose and they recommend flonase. Used it about 2 hrs ago and no relief. What are your thoughts on using flonase and how long will it take for it to work. I'm having difficulty sleeping or I just wouldn't worry about it.

As per your complain stuffy nose for a month with no symptoms of cold can be due to infection and fluid accumulation in sinuses causing Sinusitis..
Afrin contains Oxymetazoline that is a decongestant and it can help in shrinking blood vessels and can relieve stuffy nose..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can do a clinical evaluation and also advise you PNS View x ray and MRI of sinuses and help in confirmation of cause..
In case of sinusitis he can advise you antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkillers, decongestants oral as well as nasal spray..
Steam inhalations, saline nasal irrigation and steroid nasal spray can help..
