Suggest Treatment For Myelodisplasia

Hi, nice to meet you. My father is 78, weighs 70kg and has myelodisplasia. He has 700 white blood cells and 0000 red blood cells. He has been having filgrastim and erytropoyetin since monday. I am worried because I want to see his blood get much better as soon as possible. Is his condition risky and, if so, what can I do?
