Suggest Treatment For Muscular Rigidity And Insomnia

My father has PSP and has been suffering from several years. he can't walk, has difficulty speaking, swallowing, has muscular rigidity and all the typical symptoms. Is there some ayurvedic/homeopathic treatment that will alleviate the symptoms, improve his swallowing, balance, insomnia, rigidity or other problems. He's getting progressively worse but he is a special man with a deep philosophical spirit and appears to weather this storm with grace. Thank you, Dr. A. Sen

Dear sir
As you know that "Progressive Supranuclear Palsy" is a degenerative disease involving brain tissues, manifesting the symptoms you described.
If i were your treating doctor i would treat it as a clear case of "Majja dhatu vikriti", "kapha-avritta vata vikriti" and "abdhi vikriti". The disease, as per Ayurved, is NOT COPLETELY CURABLE but comes under "YAPYA vyadhi" i.e. the patient can pass a comparatively better life with the MEDICINES AS A PART OF HIS LIFE.
The treatment includes ORAL MEDICINE, medicines for EXTERNAL APPLICATION and BASTI.
SUCCESS RATE and the EXTENT OF IMPROVEMENT is completely UNPREDICTABLE and DRAMATIC. Relief STARTS in some patients within 01 - 04 MONTH, some take 12 - 18 MONTHS to respond while some respond in a way which can't be considered significant. Some patients show very good improvement, some moderate and some insignificant.
It means the IMPROVEMENT IS THERE but the extent of improvement is unpredictable so its better to GO FOR THE TREATMENT.
