Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is ten years old. She sufferred from an episode on tuesday evening around 6:30 PM where the muscles on the right side of her face began to tremble and spasm, it also caused severe drooling at the time. This lasted about one to two minutes and was followed by numbness and lack of control for about five minutes afterward. She did not fall(she was standing at the time) and she did not loose contiousness. She was aware of waht was going on but could not speak. The same thing happened again on Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM. She was brought into the hospital and was brought to the MRI. The pediatrician said this was probably a mild focal seizure. What does that mean? Are they going to happen all the time and frequent? She just got a new puppy on Sunday, we ve already had a dog for three years, could this be an alergic reaction? Pleas help me find out what I can do for her?
