Suggest Treatment For Methamphetamine Injection Site Swelling

Two days ago I missed a 30cc shot of meth but barely even felt a burn. Since then I have soaked in warm water and applied preparation h, which has reduced redness and pain, but it is still swollen pretty bad and really red all around missed area, how can I treat this at home since I will not go to the ER unless a last resort since they call the athorities and get arrested for possession. Please dont respond if you are only going to tell me to go to the doctor and all the negative effects this has without any remedies to help treat this from home.

Hi,

Keep on applying warm compress frequently. Keep the limb elevated to facilitate venous drainage and lower the swelling. Local application of any antibiotic ointment that you can manage to get will help. If the area is already infected, you would need oral antibiotics as well. Please keep in mind that if the infection spreads, you may even end up losing the arm. Take care.

Best wishes.
