Suggest Treatment For Low Blood Pressure And Palpitations While On Starpress Xl
since 4 years i have high bp of 130/90 ,140/95 i used amlodac2.5 for 3 years , and doctors use to say you have some psychological problem so your bp get fluctuations almost every evening and i have palpitation of 100 per min. i started using starpress xl 50 mg for 6 months. i am feeling very dull these days after using starpress xl. now recently my bp is low of 70 or 80/60 and i have palpitation of 100 per min.-- shall i continue using this or stop.
Hello welcome to HCM. I have read your question and understand your concerns. It seems that your metoprolol tab is in very high dosage it has caused low blood pressure. My advice to you is -
1. Reduce the dosage of metoprolol according to your doctor's advice. Your blood pressure will be rise and your symptoms will be improved.
2.Ask your doctor to do your 24 hrs blood pressure monitoring. It will record pulse and blood pressure For 24 hrs.
3.Do your kidney profile, lipid profile, thyroid profile and sugar levels for rroutine check up. Thank you. Have a nice day.
