Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My wife suffers from loose motion every 2-3 months since 2 years. The exact reasons has not been detected till now. She also had worms in her stomach and around 200+ came out last month. Presently again from last 3 days loose motion has started after one worm came out . She is taking 02 and immodium but its of no use. Would request you to tell me where should I get her complete check up. I am from Kolkata.
This is recurrent worms infestation causing disturbed gut flora and in fact life of the patient. Imodium should not be consumed as over the counter medicine in her case as it draws water from the intestine.
It is suggested that she must consult gastroenterologist, take stool microscopy with H&E stain to determine type of worms and further curative medicines in that concern only.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
