Suggest Treatment For Lightheadedness While On BP Medications

I m a52 year old male,I take blood pressure medicine,benocart 20/12.5 just had a complete physical with blood work,Dr. Said all my numbers were fine,come back in 4 months. Today while working in the yard,I bent over to look under the boat,stood up felt light headed and fell out and had a nice knot on my head.should I see another Dr, some type of specialist.strenuous work drains me.

Hi,
The giddiness that you experienced may be due to a few causes:
1) As you are on anti hypertensives you may be suffering with Orthostatic hypotension. This means that your BP when you are siting are sleeping would be higher than when you are standing. So when you stand up suddenly from a sitting or kneeling position, the blood pools down in your calves and there is not enough blood to supply the brain. This leads to the giddy spell.
