Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

It is important consulting with a neurologist for a physical exam and some tests in order to investigate for the possible causes underlying his leg pain:

- Peripheral neuropathy

- Peripheral arteriopathy

- A bulging disc in the vertebral column

- A muscle disease, etc.

For this reason, some other tests may be needed:

- A Doppler ultrasound of the leg vessels

- Nerve conduction studies

- Complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation

- Muscle enzymes (CPK, LDH)

- An X-ray of the lumbar vertebral column.

You should discuss with his doctor on the above tests. Order to investigate for the possible causes underlying his leg pain:

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
