Hi! I am having miserable shin splints on the lower outside of my right leg.. It has been about three weeks since I first started feeling pain & it continues to get worse. It started right after running sprints & I have already purchased better supported running shoes. However, I can not be unreleased due to competition season being so near! My shin is killing me with every step, how can I hurry & get rid of this!!
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are suffering from stress fracture of tibia(shin splints) . Its treatments is rest and analgesic such as ibuprofen. Don't think about running and exercises till it completely healed. You can take vitamin D and calcium supplement to promote its healing but its main treatment is rest. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
