Suggest Treatment For Knee Pain

I fell while running last Tuesday on uneven sidewalk. I made a 5 point landing with most of my weight on my right knee cap. The other scrapes are healing nicely however, my right knee is a problem. It seemed to scab over but was "weeping" last night. I soaked it with a washcloth and salt water. Most of the scabbing came off. I used antibiotic ointment on it last night so it would not stick to the sheets. Today so far I have used a saltwater wash cloth to clean it a couple of times but it does not seem to want to scab. Is it because I keep bending it when I walk or run? What do I need to do?

After going through your query I concluded that you got multiple abrasions over the body. Abrasions are healing well but one over knee is weeping.It seems to me that you are washing it frequently that is why it is not healing and scabbing. You need to clean it once a day only and apply beta-dine ointment. You can take antibiotics to prevent infection. Analgesics such as ibuprofen can be taken for pain relief.
