General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Bursitis is an inflammation in the bursa (a sac that provides a cushion between the bone and tendons).

It usually resolves on its own but the medications may help with symptoms while it heals.

Continuing with movement but avoiding exercise that stresses the area is the best treatment. Warm compresses may also help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Kathy Robinson, General & Family Physician
