General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I would advise you to use local ointments for relief of pain and avoid taking pain killers during pregnancy however if you are not getting relief with it then I would recommend tab paracetamol which is the safest among all the pain killers to take during pregnancy. Raised ESR is normal during pregnancy however the raised ASO titer needs to be investigated for infection and if there is any infection, it can be treated satisfactorily with antibiotics of penicillin group.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
