Suggest Treatment For Jejunitis And Duodenitis With Hiatus Hernia
I am 39 year old male and diagnosed with non specific chronic jejunitis and duodenitis with hiatus hernia..doctor has prescribed norflox 400 twice daily and zevit(once daily) alongwith normaxin(twice daily) and VSL-3(thrice daily) for one month.
Want to know your opinion,as regards why the antibiotic is prescribed for one month and how should i take the antibiotic(whether before meals or after meals and whether zevit is also to be taken alongwith norflox a the same time).
dear most common causes for jujunitis/duodenitis are alcohol abuse,Crohn’s disease (inflammatory bowel disease that can affect any part of the intestine),H pylori infection, history of radiation therapy,Prolonged use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), naproxen (Aleve), or aspirin ,stress or severe illness, tobacco use.
dear you may need endoscopy and biopsy.may be doctor thought infectious cause for your problem so he advised above medication.use above medicine after breakfast or dinner. if symptoms not improved consult your gastroenterologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.i think I answered to your question if you have more questions feel free to ask.
take care.
