I have skin rashes and itching on my legs where my socks end. Had got releif from it by applying Skin Top cream a year ago. However it has started again and that cream in not available. Doctor prescribed me clobet GM and calamine creams but of no help. Please advise which is the right ointment to use.
Itchy rashes on the leg commonly is caused by dry skin, dermatitis, chafing, nerve issues, high blood sugar levels, allergy, fungal infections and jock itch. You are suggested to take care of your hygiene. Avoid wearing socks for a couple of days. Apply hydrocortisone cream in the affected area to ease discomfort. Cold compress or applying ice also works.
You can take antihistamines for relieve. Do not touch or scratch. Take regular shower & bath with warm water and soap, and apply calamine lotion, do not leave the skin dry. Stop wearing clothes that irritate your skin. Control your blood glucose levels at all cost.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
