I ve been having severe itching on my few body parts like elbows, knees, area between my legs and bottom. Ive concerned a doctor month back. She said I have scabies and I followed her prescriptions properly but didnt continued it due to my travelling. How can I get rid of it now? The itching is getting severe every night.

Hi,

Your doctor may be right. You may be having scabies. First, you should take treatment for scabies. Tab ivermectin 12 mg at night for two days. Antihistaminics like levocetirizine 5 mg twice a day. Antibiotic like cephalaxin 250 thrice a day for 5 days. To apply permethrin cream on body neck to toe at night. And to take bath with dettol containing water. After few days you may be alright. Still, if itch is there, it may be due to allergy, take a short and tappering course of steroids for two weeks. Whole treatment might be under your doctor. ..ok

I hope this would help you. Thanks
