Recently, I have a issue with uncontrollable itching. About a week ago, it started on the feet bottom and tops. Of course I scratched them with both of my hands, which resulted in the palms of my hands itching terrible, then of course my scalp was itching because I touched my head with my hands. I apply lotion it doesn t seem to help.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history of generalized itching, my treatment advice is -
1. Avoid fast food and food with artificial colors for 2 months.
2. Apply a mild topical steroid lotion like beclomethasone lotion twice daily on affected skin.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral hydroxyzine, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
MBBS, DDVL.
